About Our Speakers
Katie Magoon has over 20 years of human resources experience including a Fortune 200 company. In 2016, she launched People Solutions Center, an HR consulting firm for small to mid-size companies. The combination of her HR background, and practical experience allows her to advise fellow leaders on how to best leverage their greatest asset - their people! She was recently recognized as a Finalist for Most Innovative Company for the 2019 Business Excellence Awards and a Finalist for Best HR Organization in 2020. These innovative solutions include an HR Director program, Recruiting Director program, an HR Alertline and a Leadership Development program.
Dawn Newman is an Executive and Professional Coach and Organization Development Consultant. She maintains SHRM-SCP & HRCI SPHR and has a Ph.D. in Organization Development. Her business, A New Dawn Coaching, LLC, provides individual and team coaching and consulting services. She enjoys helping leaders and teams build capabilities and accomplish results. In addition to her business, she serves as Affiliate Faculty in Saint Louis University's Masters of Leadership and OD program and volunteers for the SHRM St. Louis Programs Committee.
Dawn's multi-disciplined career includes leadership and technical roles in Organization Development, Supplier Program Management, Human Resources, Quality Engineering, and Operations. Her background includes work with aerospace and defense organizations, universities, healthcare, financial services, government, non-profit, and membership groups.
