SHRM St. Louis Spring Mentoring Update
The SHRM Saint Louis mentoring program kicked off our spring class this week with six pairs of mentors and protégés beginning their year-long work together. The mentoring program is focused on helping HR professionals accelerate their career growth by working with a seasoned SHRM member. The mentors and protégés joined the program coordinators, Rik Nemanick and Angela Louis, for our first ever virtual program launch over Zoom. Just as most of us have been adapting to new ways of working during COVID-19, we changed our in-person launch to a web-enabled orientation to get the mentoring pairs prepared for their year together. On our call, we discussed how to agree on the logistics of working together and how to set goals for the mentoring program. Participants will also receive a monthly newsletter to support their mentoring partnerships. Join us in welcoming our Spring 2020 participants:
Protégés
- Abby Baker
- Janice Dickmeyer
- Kristen Gusewelle
- Sarah Schlueter
- Victoria Stanley
- Kiera Swift
Mentors
- Ayanna Baldwin
- Sarah Davidson
- Kayla Hesse
- Meredith Osborn
- Pauline Spearing
- Cecily Witt-Muhammad
Our next mentoring program starts in the autumn. The applications will begin in August. If you know an HR professional who would be interested in being either a mentor or protégé, please let them know about our program.
