Message From the President
Focus Forward 2020: Lead with Passion, Serve with Purpose
Thank you Veterans for your patriotism, willingness to serve & your sacrifice for the needs and good of our country. You stand firm for our freedom. We are and remain forever grateful.
HR Professionals - Are you interested in earning your SHRM Veterans at Work Certificate? Click here for more information. You can earn 10 professional development credits toward your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP recertification. Best practices to attract, hire, and retain Veterans.
In such times as these, we need to remind one another to give and receive thanks. I am especially grateful to our SHRM St. Louis community, often referred to as “family,” and the great care we take in the relationships that we develop daily with each other. Our members, students, guests, business partners, sponsors, those in the community, and those we haven’t met yet 😊remain our greatest links of connections to a common purpose. We plant seeds, others water them, and what blossoms is grace that lives in ways known and unknown to us or them sometimes.
As you gather maybe differently this season, take time to give thanks, engage in acts of kindness, and make a difference in the life or lives of others. Through every challenge, SHRM St. Louis has always risen to the occasion to ensure that we are leading and serving to advance the HR profession, supporting professional growth, and furthering our diversity and workforce readiness initiatives. We are here for you. We hope you will continue to grow with us. Thank you all for your friendship and for being a part of such a wonderful organization.
Be well, stay hopeful, and stay the course. Peace & Blessings to you all.
Warmest Regards,
Mary Lou Smith, PHR, SHRM-CP
2020 President
