Member Spotlight on... Carissa Fowler, Director of Human Resources, Zeffert & Associates
SHRM St. Louis member, Carissa Fowler, is proud to be wrapping up a year-long Leadership Development program designed for her organization's managers, directors, and C-Suite leaders. This initiative has fostered a culture of personal and professional growth across all levels of leadership. The program featured CliftonStrengths assessments, a supportive buddy system, and a formal optional 30-minute meeting every six weeks, creating space for meaningful dialogue and reflection. These elements gave insights into the different skills one can obtain, as well as explored how the workforce is currently changing. It also allowed them to keep their terms mission focused.
The company will celebrate this journey with a luncheon in June, just ahead of the fiscal year-end, honoring the commitment and growth of everyone involved.
The best piece of advice Carissa received? This type of development has to happen both in and out of the office. Treat this program like a constant conversation instead of another task to complete.
