Networking Opportunities Among SHRM St. Louis Members & Local Universities
SHRM of Greater St. Louis is recognized as a premier networking organization and one of SHRM’s largest and most active local chapters for many years. This recognition could not be possible without the many SHRM members that volunteer on our board and committees.
The University Relations Committee in collaboration with the Membership Committee is tasked with promoting the benefits of SHRM membership to Business and Human Resources Management faculty, students, and staff at local universities in St. Louis and Illinois.
One step towards marketing SHRM to this underserved university market is for SHRM members to volunteer as subject matter experts in human resources to university faculty, staff, and students as guest speakers either on campus or virtually. Likewise, SHRM members can network with career services departments at local universities to market your organization by recruiting for internships, part-time and full-time roles.
The University Relations Committee welcomes any insights and guidance from SHRM members affiliated with universities.
For more information about networking with universities by becoming a speaker, contact Beth Quick-Andrews or Katie Magoon.
